Connect your GitHub organization to power June’s AI Impact view: how much of your engineering output involves AI tools, what those tools contribute, and what they cost per unit of work.

What you’ll accomplish

  • Install the June GitHub App on your organization in a couple of clicks, with no keys to manage
  • See engineering activity (pull requests, reviews, and review conversations) for both people and AI tools
  • Break down AI reviewers and AI authors (Copilot, Devin, Greptile, and others) by tool
  • Connect AI tool activity to what you pay for those tools, when the tool is also a spend integration

What June syncs

From your GitHub organization, June syncs:
  • Your organization’s members, matched to employees in June
  • Pull request activity: who opened, merged, and reviewed, and when
  • Review conversations: comments on pull requests, split between people and bots
  • AI tools and bots active in your organization, so their output can be measured separately from your team’s
June reads activity metadata only. It does not read your source code, and it never writes anything to GitHub. Data refreshes daily.

Capabilities

This is a read-only engineering activity integration. June ingests activity data and does not take actions in GitHub.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:
  • A GitHub organization (personal accounts are not supported)
  • Organization owner access, or permission from an owner to install GitHub Apps

Connect GitHub

Start the install from June

  1. In June, open the Integrations page.
  2. Choose GitHub and click Install GitHub App.

Approve the app on GitHub

  1. GitHub shows the June App’s install page. Pick your organization.
  2. Choose which repositories June can see. All repositories gives the most complete picture, but you can start with a subset.
  3. Review the requested read-only permissions and approve.

You're done

GitHub sends you back to June and the connection is created automatically; there are no keys or IDs to copy. The first sync backfills your recent activity; results appear under AI Impact once it completes.
To change which repositories June can see later, adjust the June App’s repository access in your GitHub organization settings. June picks up the change on the next sync.
